Photo Sequence:

The existing construction site tower crane was briefly utilized to deliver GBL’s 144 square foot “Landing Platform” Workstation scaffold to the 47th floor of this new residential tower. With its 8-foot cantilever beyond the slab edge, solid flush-to-slab plywood deck, and 5,000 lbs live load rating (3,500 lbs material plus six workers), this Workstation will be used to accommodate the delivery of curtainwall panels in large crates. Constructed of aluminum truss frames and dual ADT beams, the platform was shipped substantially assembled, with only minor prep work required prior to hoisting. Once secured to the tower’s concrete structure, the safety railing system was finalized.
