Shawn established GBL’s engineering department in 2001, following a decade of work as a designer and information manager at various architecture and engineering firms. Shawn primarily coordinates the design of specialized and universal products and systems, as well as the development and implementation of design aids and standards. He has managed and designed complex Work Access systems for many high profile projects including the United Nations Secretariat, One World Trade Center, 220 Central Park South, Goldman Sachs Global Headquarters, the Sony Tower, Weill Cornell Medical College, 1717 Broadway, and One Times Square. Shawn received his bachelor’s degrees in Architecture and Building Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1991.
